Dr. Morten Kildemo
From 02/02/04, I'm back from CERN. I am currently on a 2 year contract as a researcher in Surface Physics (until february 2006). RN
Current Address : Department of physics; NTNU; 7034 Trondheim; NORWAY

My main field of competence is in optics (polarimetry), thin film physics, surface physics and electron spectroscopy.
Currently my work is based around catalytic oxidation of SiC by evaporating a few monolayers of rare earths on clean reconstructed surfaces. I study the formation of the surface alloy, and the initial oxidation of the alloy compared to oxidation of clean surfaces. I try to observe improvements in the oxidation state of the oxide correlated to the electrical properties if the interface.

======Hobbies :================================================
During my spare time, I am in a salsa-band that is more or less a result of a band project we had at the excellently equipped CERN Jazz-club.
At the moment we rehearse at studenter-samfunnet (student union) in Trondheim. It's good fun, and the band is surprisingly good, I'd say semi-professional.
